Choosing an Apartment
In order to help you find the “right” apartment, I need to know exactly what you are looking for in an
apartment. Please go to my the questionnaire so I can get an understanding of what you are looking for in an apartment. Some of the items that are very important to Thunderbird Students include the following,

Location – How far from the campus do you want to live (walking distance, bike ride distance or drive
time from the campus.)

Price – What is your monthly budget for rent? Please keep in mind that you will be responsible for your
electric (and in some cases –gas) at all the apartment near the Thunderbird Campus.

Lease Term – Different Apartments will offer different lease terms. Almost every apartment will offer 12
month leases. Some apartments will do leases as short as six months. Very few apartments will offer
leases shorter than six months. If they do, they will charge significantly more per month.

Amenities –Are there any special features that you wish the apartment and/or the apartment
community to have?  Some examples of items that may or may not be important to you are –

-----Parking Parking is free at all apartments. All have covered parking with some apartments giving you
an assigned covered spot. Others will be first come first serve. Also some apartments will have garages
that can be rented for an additional fee.
------Work out Room – Some apartments have work out (gym) facilities. Some of these work out rooms are
open 24 hours, some will have limited hours.
------Laundry – Some apartments will have a washer / dryer in every apartment, others will have a
community laundry room (fee based).
------Swimming Pools - All apartments will have at least one swimming pool. Some apartments will pools that are heated in the winter.

Please let me know what you must have and what you would like / prefer to have. Once I have this information, I will try to find you the apartments options that best matches your needs. If you are out of town / country and plan to rent the apartment sight unseen, I will e-mail you information on the apartments via the internet. Included in this information will be a link to the apartments website, current rates and specials (if any) and a map showing you the location of the apartments in relationship to the Thunderbird campus. Once you have looked over the information, please call or e-mail me with any questions that you might have regarding the apartments. If you are in town, I will be delighted to meet with you and discuss the apartments with you in person. Once we find some apartments that you are interested in, I will escort you to those apartments so you can preview them in person.
